With its dramatic coastline, crystal-clear Adriatic waters, and centuries-old stone architecture, Croatia is one of Europe’s most breathtaking destinations for a destination wedding — and one of my personal favorites to photograph in.
From the sun-drenched island of Hvar to the medieval walls of Dubrovnik, from the hidden coves of Istria to the vibrant harbor of Split — every corner of Croatia tells a different story. I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings along this stunning coastline, and I can tell you firsthand: Croatia never fails to take your breath away.

Croatia combines dramatic natural beauty, rich history, and Mediterranean warmth in a way few countries can match. With over 1,000 islands, ancient walled cities like Dubrovnik, and a coastline that stretches for miles, it offers endless settings for an unforgettable wedding — at a price point that’s often more accessible than Italy or France.

Planning from across the Atlantic is more straightforward than you might think. Croatia has a well-established destination wedding industry with experienced local planners, English-speaking vendors, and excellent flight connections from major US cities via European hubs. I work with couples in US time zones, communicate entirely in English, and can connect you with trusted local vendors if needed.

May, June and September are the sweet spots — warm and sunny with fewer crowds than the peak summer rush of July and August. June in particular offers the longest golden hours for photography, which makes for stunning light throughout your entire wedding day.

Absolutely — these are some of my favorite destinations to photograph in. Whether you’re getting married at a villa on Hvar, inside the walls of Dubrovnik, or at a waterfront venue in Split, I’ll be there. Travel costs are discussed transparently during the inquiry process and vary depending on the location and timing.

Yes, and I highly recommend it. A pre-wedding shoot in Croatia — whether on a boat off the coast of Hvar or at golden hour in Dubrovnik’s old town is a beautiful way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. It also gives you stunning images from your time in Croatia beyond the wedding day itself.
