I’m Sebastian, a documentary wedding photographer based near Munich, Germany, working with couples across Europe who want an intimate celebration. My film-influenced style has documented over 300 weddings, with features in Vogue and Junebug Weddings.

I shoot both digital and 35mm film, and work best with intimate weddings of up to around 80 guests, across Italy, Spain, Croatia and beyond.

THE APPROACH

I photograph the wedding that happens when everyone stops thinking about the wedding.

This is unposed, documentary wedding photography. The small gestures nobody planned, the laugh between vows, the light at the dinner table when everyone has forgotten I’m there. The service team. The stolen glances. The moment just before.

These are the images that still mean something thirty years from now.

ABOUT SEBASTIAN

I’ve spent over a decade looking for the weddings inside the wedding.

I grew up in southern Germany and fell in love with photography at eighteen. What I’ve learned in over 300 weddings across Europe since then is that the most honest images happen at the edge of the frame, when the couple has forgotten I exist and all that’s left is real.

As a film wedding photographer working in both digital and 35mm, I work with couples who’ve built something beautiful and know exactly why they built it. Couples who celebrate with taste and aesthetic, without performance, and who, by the end of the day, have completely forgotten they’re being watched.
